IMGP2666.pngIMGP2663.pngWhile mom was at an appointment, my dad and I spent a couple hours near the Kerbs Model Boat House in Central Park. It's a place where old men seem to fuss about miniature naval powers. Armadas of tiny sailboats that make all eighteen pounds of me look gigantic.

_MG_6955.pngSorry it's been awhile since I last posted. My dad has been hogging the computer to watch World Cup highlights.

Following the afternoon in the East Village; mom, dad and I headed over to Ntina and John's for a barbecue.

I've been on this earth for seven months, and I've learned one thing: Never underestimate what a Greek girl with a solid tzatziki recipe and a boy from Cincinnati can do with a Webber Grill when lamb is on the menu. Stand back and let the culinary odyssey begin!.. I, however, ate a mashed banana.

While the leg of lamb was on the grill, Devo challenged me to a FIFA Soccer match on PlayStation. It took me awhile to get used to the controls, but we met on the pitch in ferocious competition. Devo, I challenge you; Play Beautiful!

Perhaps his controller was broken, perhaps I cheated, perhaps I'm just better than him; but after a hard fought match he fell victim to my superior skills.

I can't imagine how hurtful it must be to be out played by a baby; but in his defense, my selection of Brasil in a 2-3-5 offensive posture combined with my expert utilization of the Ronaldinho/Kaka combination left him with few defensive options.

After my dad got his hair cut we headed over to Tompkins Square Park, which is a block away from my very first ever babysitter's apartment Phil & Jeni... last I heard, somewhere in Italy. Tompkins Square Park is well know as the place where one of my favorite artists, Jean-Michel Basquiat used to live in a cardboard box and score heroin.

But I didn't see many cardboard boxes and have no idea what "heroin" is. For me, it was all about the swings!

Swings are the coolest; I'd never been in one before, but let me tell you the repetitive motion makes for a fine way to spend a Saturday.

Hedi cuts my dad's hair and has arms like one of my picture books. Someday I'll get my hair cut, and I'm thinking of getting a celtic cross on my left shoulder. _MG_6901.png
