On Sunday I had a few people over for my birthday. View the photos here! I wanted to rent a pony, but dad said it would have to come up the fire-escape; in the end it didn't seem worth it.

Grandma was in town for the weekend and so we walked down to the corner to see the New York City Marathon make its way up fourth avenue. Our friends Melissa and Susan were both running, but somehow I missed them.
I was busy with a runny nose wondering what we were doing standing out in the cold watching people run down the street. We can do that in the summer and not get a cold. In my humble opinion, distance running is not the spectator sport of choice for babies.
